How I like to work
I am passionate about supporting and empowering people to live the lives that they want to live. I am an enthusiastic and empathic person and take time to develop a collaborative working relationship so that you feel heard and understood. Developing a shared understand of your difficulties allows us to work together towards goals that are meaningful to you.
The therapy approaches I use
I primarily use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and therapies with derive from that such as ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and CFT (compassion focused therapy). I also incorporate mindfulness techniques. However, I work flexibly and draw on a range of models to work in a way that feels right for you, including ideas from schema focused therapy.
My credentials and registration
I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at UCL in 2014. I also completed teacher training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in 2019 and most recently a postgraduate certificate in CBT for psychosis in 2023. I’m registered with the Health Care Professionals Council and my registration number is PYL 31221.
